About Us

We have been friends for what seems like FOREVER! In actuality, it's only been about 5 years. We met at a mutual friend's wedding and instantly knew we were kindered spirits. We both were in colorguard, we both love Bon Jovi, and we are both teachers. Through the years we have shared a lot of crazy times: Vegas trips, Mexican meals (Juarez!), endless bottles of champagne, impromptu beach road trips, and even having our first children within a month of each other. (Told ya we were in sync!)

The Pelicans
At Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville (FINS UP!), we noticed that there are always two pelicans somewhere at the bar. On one of our MANY trips to a Margaritaville (I do believe this was one of our Vegas trips), JustyMac turned to me and said, "You're the only pelican in my bar!" So there we are... Everytime we go to Margaritaville, we take a picture of our two pelicans.

I am a thirty-something yr old, elementary school teaching, crazy-cat loving lady! I have an English hubby-- one day I will write a book about OUR story (which we can then read for the book club!), and the world's most BEAUTIFUL daughter! I have always enjoyed reading-- yes I was the dorky kid who's mom had to tell her to "Put the book down and go to bed!" I still love to read, but sometimes find it hard to find the time to read what I want. A couple of years ago I decided this was no longer an option-- I made it a priority! I have also discovered the wonderful world of audiobooks-- which make my commutes to work much more enjoyable!

Hi!! I am a twenty-something (not for much longer!!), crazy kindergarten teaching, craft/scrapbook loving, cat lover also! I have a super fab husband who works in IT and a beautiful, wonderful, amazing little boy. Like S.Dub, I also like to read but have difficulty finding time for it. I received a Nook for Christmas and I have already read 5 books! I highly reccomend an Ereader! I have never blogged before and I am looking forward to learning all of the ins and outs of it. I will also try to feature some of my random craft endeavors too. I may also sneak in a pic of my baby a time or two-- you'll have to forgive me, he's just awesome!! :)
